The answer is Yes! The type of material the Capet is made of will determine the cleaning process and the chemicals used. Not all carpets will clean right with the same chemicals and some can actually melt if you use to much heat, so knowing what you are looking for is key to the right process for your carpet. Here at CopaClean we come with 25 years of experience in the Carpet Cleaning industry.
Nylon is a synthetic carpet fiber and the most commonly used, Nylon will clean and wear well.
Polyester falls about the same as Olefin but it is more resilient to staining and wear, some are made of plastic and caution is used with the heat
Olefin is a common used material because of the cheap cost and attract oily soils easy, it also matts down and doesn't recover like Nylon.
Wool is less common because of its high maintenance and high cost. Extreme care is needed when cleaning
Our Carpet Cleaning process doesn't cut any corners, we will do a complete walk through and explain the process and problem areas we see. First we pre spray the carpet and rake it in to allow the dirt, oil and grease to break down. Second we will hit all edges with a wand to ensure proper cleaning. Third we use our rotary RX-20 to clean the carpet with 220 degree neutralizing water to rinse the dirt, oil and grease out. Fourth we rake the carpets to disperse moisture and stand up the fibers for drying and last we will put fans down to ensure dry time is less then 4 hours.
We will start by asking if you know of any pet problem, then we will search with our blacklight to see how bad the accidents are. We then begin to tackle the problem the proper way, we will flood the spot through the pad and into the subfloor with an enzyme breakdown, this ensures the spot is being handled all the way through. We then extract everything with a piece called a water claw it is used to pull all moisture out of the floor, pad and carpet.
Stairs are done with a special stair tool that is small and equipped to hit all parts of the stairs
Carpet Protector is very important to the longevity of your carpet, it provides a protective shell that forms around the whole carpet fiber, protecting spills from absorbing in and staining the fibers. After cleaning we spray the protector down and rake it in to ensure the protector is spread properly.
